India vs Australia Second Test Playing XI For Adelaide

India and Australia Playing XI For Adelaide Test 2024

After the 1st blockbuster test match in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where India won with a massive 295 runs is not set to continue the rhythm in the Adelaide test match. In the Perth match, while chasing a huge target of 534 runs, Australia ends up with just 238 runs leading a great leap in cricket betting.

Appealing in the first Test as the stand-in captain, medium-pacer Jasprit Bumrah bagged eight wickets, including a fifer. While India has been the dominant side in the preceding game, it is likely to tinker with as many as two changes in the second Test match at Adelaide.

Team India’s regular captain Rohit Sharma has returned to the squad and is expected to captain the side. Shubman Gill is also expected to come back into the side after emerging from the injury-prone list.

And then in the second inning with the help of his batmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli, set a big total before the Australians. India gets the boost but Adelaide’s pink ball test will be a new test.

Australia, on the other hand, will be focusing on a recovery after being defeated vigorously in their backyard in the first Test. This series is a must-win for both teams as they eye a place in the WTC final.

Likely lineup for adelaide test match

India will probably include some changes to the batting line up with Indian Captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill coming back into the playing eleven.

Rohit, a specialist opener, was not available for the first Test match, and KL Rahul started as an opener. Rahul shone bright with scores of 26 and 77 on a pitch that was quite testing and now the management would like him to continue with an opening slot.

The first official indication that Rohit Sharma might bat in the middle was given during the warm-up game against the Prime Minister’s XI. In this game, Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal who went to open the innings, set a brilliant platform by scoring a magnificent 75-run partnership.

Rohit on the other hand came in at no 4 and never looked like being a threat. Regarding the changes in the line-up, it will be interesting to see where Shubman Gill might replace Devdutt Padikkal at number three and Dhruv Jurel will be replaced in turn by Rohit Sharma.

Australia’s likely playing XI

Australia on a sore note when Josh Hazlewood had to be withdrawn from the Adelaide Test due to a side strain injury. Australia’s premier bowler in the first test with 4-29 on the first innings Hazlewood will be a big miss.

Scott Boland is likely to come into the playing eleven as a replacement for Hazlewood leading to enhanced excitement to bet on cricket. Boland did have a stint at Adelaide earlier this year when his side played a pink ball Test against West Indies here and he picked up three wickets.

One of the people who love the flamboyant and stunning teenage batsman, Sam Konstas played a starring role in the pink–ball practice match against India at the Manuka Oval scoring 107 off 97 balls.
